2LCH

A world of purposeful work. ¡Que milagro!

Quote note

“Иван Яковлевич, как всякий порядочный мастеровой, был пьяница страшный. И хотя каждый день брил чужие подбородки, но его собственный был у него вечно не брит.”

Not sure about the grammar, but it’s adorable. I love the contrast of words like “proper” and “drunkard,” and this idea of “I don’t live what I sell.” Reminds me of Martha Stewart.

A great quote from Robert California from The Office (the current season of which I have not watched at all, I’m sad to say). “There’s something about the underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.” Exercise was inspired by Jessica Hische’s… [Continue Reading]

Death in the Andres by Mario Vargas Llosa book cover inspiration || 2lch

Death in the Andres book cover

First of all, this is a great piece of fiction. Mario Vargas LLosa takes you on a whirlwind exploration of a Peruvian clash of old and new, superstitious and productive, magical and violent. I read this book in one sitting. It’s just a cherry on top that I also really like the cover. It’s strange,… [Continue Reading]

    wishsoup

So excited to be working on wishsoup! And thank goodness for the wonderful YourCompany theme, the pre-launch site is coming along splendidly. The project involved the development of a Facebook app with a slightly different branded look. I developed icons for this app, including the following:
