The unexceptional.

2lch || Robert California Quote

This is a typographic exercise I did about six months ago while still at Bussolati. A great quote from Robert California from The Office (the current season of which I have not watched at all, I’m sad to say). “There’s something about the underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.” Exercise was inspired by Jessica Hische’s… [Continue Reading]

Bussolati Hearts Our Clients

Bussolati sends out a yearly corporate gift to its clients on Valentine’s Day. Each year, the theme is “Bussolati Hearts Our Clients”, consisting of a package with wine and chocolates to say our thanks. I got to develop and design the 2012 interpretation of the theme. This project was a lot of fun–from brainstorming as… [Continue Reading]

Taylor Gourmet

Because I’m a living, breathing human, I love Taylor sandwiches. It’s probably unhealthy how much I love Market Street. I also love their design, the way the menu looks, the feel of the interior. However… What’s up with that kerning? (If you need some practice yourself, reader, play)

Different typefaces (?), same cigarettes (?).

Fat cats for nine

9 || 2lch

I went fishing for the first time this weekend, can’t get fish off my mind. Plus there’s something great about fat cats. So there you have my submission for Lettercult‘s Alphabattle: 9. And… HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! We’re grilling up the fish we caught and pigging out on mozzarella asparagus. And my dad’s the bestest.

Education, Income, and Occupation by Citizenship Status in U.S. (2010) || 2lch

Infographic: Education, Income, and Occupation in the U.S. (2010)

The following infographic was created in 2010 based on US Census data estimates (at the time of creation, the 2010 Census data had not been released). The graphic examines differences in education and income levels achieved, as well as differences in occupation, between groups stratified by U.S. citizenship status.

I enjoy this.

Brookstone packaging is surprisingly nice. Happy New Year!

The Lucubrators blog identity

The Lucubrators is a personal blog I keep with my SO. What a great excuse to play around with hand lettering!
