Castaway Farm identity

Castaway Farm logo || 2lch

Castaway Farm in Jackson, New Jersey, needed a logo that communicated the owner’s personality and allowed the company to stand out among specialty breeders.

The final art-nouveau-inspired brand identity was both fun and appropriate as a breeder’s seal. The floral elements visible in the logo are continued throughout branded material, such as titles of various sections of the website.

As of the date of this post, Castaway Farm is in its 27th year of operation, and owner Rose-Marie “Bunnie” Turley enjoys recognition as a prominent breeder of orange Jersey Wooly rabbits.

Sketchbook promotional piece || 2lch

Done with undergrad design

I turned in my assigned self-promotional piece, and so was done with my undergraduate art degree. Bittersweet. These are hand-bound sketchbooks with a promo sleeve wrapped around the front cover. An envelope holding business cards, a letterhead, and a resume is inserted into the sleeve. The photos, unfortunately, had to be taken on my phone…. [Continue Reading]

The National Cathedral

I love DC for many reasons, not the least of which is the amount of free, accessible inspiration everywhere. The Washington National Cathedral has really beautiful carved typography. It’s also a place with a sense of humor. Did you know there is a Darth Vader “gargoyle” on it? By the way, the beautiful building was… [Continue Reading]

We put together an exhibit in Berlin that invited visitors to contemplate the roles of stereotyping, migration, and immigration in their lives. One of the projects I contributed is a 3D infographic… [Continue Reading]

Acronym logo makeover: SAS Acupuncture

I really love doing makeovers on existing materials. It’s really energizing for both me and the client when I can take something they have already tried and refine it just a bit to help them say exactly what they’ve been trying to say all along with, say, their logo. This was the case with SAS, an acupuncture practice I helped… [Continue Reading]

Brand development for international coffee brand: Bourbon Coffee
